This is a tough one. Google+ is a hard social media platform to get into because, let’s face it, it’s a ghost town. Your friends aren’t on it. There is very little real engagement. 99% of the reason anyone is active on it (made-up stat) is for SEO reasons… which is really the only reason to be somewhat active on it.
Let me state: doing something strictly for SEO reasons is not a good reason. That, plus I think it’s SEO benefits are a little overstated.
So here’s the final answer:
- If you have the time to be active on it, do it.
- If you don’t have the time, no worries.
- If you can automate, that’d be my top choice, but Google+ makes it hard to automate posting
- If you a little bit of time, simply share your content on the platform (best answer)
